About ReStore
​The Iowa City ReStore is a 10,000-square-foot treasure chest filled with new and gently used building materials and home goods. Anyone, regardless of income, can purchase materials (anything from paint and nails to cabinets, appliances, and furniture) at affordable prices. Maybe someone else has donated just what you need to complete the project you’re working on now. All you need to do is come in and look around.

With this service, our community benefits in several ways. One, ReStore’s proceeds support Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity. Two, with a little carpentry skill, everyone can have a home or business to admire. And three, our services divert reusable household items and building materials from our local landfills.
